The Change We Needed

For the last three years, we have lived in a mobile home park in town which happens to be close to the interstate. For a few reasons, living in town really does just suck.

Noise. And being that close to the interstate was just so much NOISIER!

Busy-ness. Not the productive kind of busy-ness, but the wasting-time, get-you-into-trouble, boredom kind of busy-ness that takes up time and wastes money needlessly. As we all know, time is one thing we can never get back so should be used wisely. Money can always be made (for those who are willing to work), but aids in the accumulation of unneeded junk. Why should one keep accumulating unneeded junk?

Clutter. When I say clutter, I am referring to overabundance of the aforementioned junk as well as clutter of the heart and soul. To much going on in this crazy world. So much so that our hearts and minds never seem to have peace. My husband and I are of like mind when we say we want our children to be away from the city chaos that clutters the heart and mind.

Thus, we recently completed our move back to the country. It’s been approx. 1-2 weeks since we transitioned and in that space of time, we have noticed a change in us all.

Our time short time in the country has brought peace, tranquility, lack of chaos, and lack of boredom. We all have so much more to do and we aren’t wasting time or money doing it. Our stress level has dropped tremendously just in time for the kiddos to start the new school year.

Oh, what a beautiful blessing it is to wake up to a beautiful sunrise each morning and nothing but the sound of the bells on our goats and the bleating sound they make. In place of the neighboring mobile homes we previously saw is the sight of the hills surrounding us and the tall grass softly swaying in the breeze.

Morning sunrise – my daily ‘cup of coffee’

It’s a treasure, for sure.

Find your reason to smile & keep smiling
