Back to School

It’s that time of year again. The kiddos are back to school and mommy’s days can quiet down just a bit.

But….here’s some honesty for you.

I would prefer my children being home with me all day. I believe children need an education. But I don’t believe in all the politics that go along with education nor do I believe in some of the trash our children are being taught in the schools. For these reasons, my girls attend Catholic school and my boys are attending online schooling.

But no matter what school my children attend, the school year always begins and ends the same way.

Trepidation.

I never want them to go back when it starts and when it ends, my nerves are a jumbled mess to get back into the swing of having them with me 24/7……if that makes any sense!

Anywho, three of my boys are taking their classes online, but in the school building. They NEVER look forward to school. My four girls are EXCITED to be back in their learning environments – Montesorri learning environment which I highly recommend!. My oldest daughter started a new Catholic school as her previous one only goes to 6th grade and she is now in 7th. My three younger daughters all attend the same school that my oldest daughter did previously.

This year’s game-changer –

My youngest started her 1st year! She just turned 5 and she just started school! All summer I have been on the fence about it. I mean, she’s ready. I know she’s ready, but mommy wasn’t ready.

So, good luck my handsome boys and beautiful girls in this new school year! Mom, momma, mommy is so very proud of all yall!

Of course, my teenage boys don’t let me get photos much anymore. I have to be pretty sneaky to get those these days!

Here’s to nine loooong months……
