Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women and blest is the fruit of your womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of death. Amen.
Gentle woman, quiet light, morning star, so strong and bright, gentle Mother, peaceful dove, teach us wisdom; teach us love.
You were chosen by the Father; you were chosen for the Son. You were chosen from all women and for woman, shining one.
Gentle woman, quiet light, morning star, so strong and bright, gentle Mother, peaceful dove, teach us wisdom; teach us love.
Blessed are you among women, blest in turn all women, too. Blessed they with peaceful spirits. Blessed they with gentle hearts.

I converted to Catholicism about 13 years ago. You see, my hubby grew up Catholic and I didn’t really grow up with religion at all. In my teens, my parents tried starting our family to Pentecostal Church, but it only worked until I was about 18 and then I made my own choice.
Since that beautiful day 13 years ago, I’ve gone through ups and downs in the church, not because I don’t believe or because of regret over converting. I do not regret my decision. And since converting, I have always believed in it. However, my faith began to waiver after we lost our son 4.5 years ago and I have just been in limbo since. I haven’t attended church, but only a dozen times since that moment. I began to question why such a thing would happen. And with that question, many more followed. Soon enough, not attending church became the norm and well, here we are.
The other day, while driving down the road with my hubby and children, I thought of this song. It has been a favorite of mine since the first time I heard it shortly after I converted. Anywho, we were in an older truck with no radio, but phones are quite handy. I pulled up YouTube and found this song. It is almost magical if you’d want to call it that, but either way, it has a very calming effect on me and my children. All four of my girls were quiet while we listened.
And honestly, I have recently discovered just how much I miss attending Mass. Our family has been greatly affected by our lack of attendance.
After hearing the song on that particular day, I was reminded just how big a role God plays in our life. As such, I hope you enjoy the song as much as I do. I hope it brings peace to you.
