30 Days of Grateful
Day 1, 2, 3 & 4

And we are in November! Turkey-day. Thanksgiving. Appreciativeness. Gratitude.
What else comes to mind when you think of November?
I generally love to celebrate all the most celebrated holidays: Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and of course, birthdays. However, my favorite holidays are Christmas, Halloween, and Thanksgiving.
And since we are in the month of Thanksgiving, let this be a month of Gratefulness!
With that being said, this month I am exercising 30 Days of Grateful. However, I only post on the days when I work which is typically Monday-Thursday so on Mondays I will be combining Friday, Saturday and Sunday into every Monday’s post for the month of November.
For this week’s Monday, I am grateful for:
My husband
So, I guess that’s a pretty typical ‘grateful’ for all wives out there (or at least the one’s who have loving husbands vs abusive, non-loving husbands). Other than the most obvious reason (because my heart just loves him so), the reasons I am grateful for him include him being my best friend, my lover, and my children’s father.
But, he’s so much more than that! He’s a helper, a hardworker, someone who’s dependable and honest. He’s fiercely stubborn, but he makes me laugh, and cry, and helps me see the error of my ways. He’s also strength when I don’t have it. And he allows me to be me. I mentioned he’s a hardworker, but not just a hardworker, he really does WANT to take care of us. He’s handsome and gorgeous and I all the time imagine he and I as our favorite on-screen characters in our favorite shows! Lol. He’s trustworthy and motivated. He’s not where he wants to be in his life (career-wise), but he shows up every day regardless. He’s faithful! Never has an eye for anyone else. If I could say the least worrisome thing I have in our relationship it would have to be him cheating. It’s just not in him to do so. He’s intelligent, extremely intelligent. He’s kind and respectful until he feels he has reason not to be. He’s persistent and determined through all the hard shit life throws at us. He’s a wonderful father, a great provider, and the most perfect man for me.
For this week’s Tuesday, I am grateful for:
My Horses
It may be a silly thing, but I LOVE my horses. When I was younger, I always wanted to live on a ranch. We never did, but I dreamed about it enough. In all honesty, I didn’t own any horses until last year when my son brought two miniature horses home from the state fair! I am still learning how to train them and gentle them, but man, I am happy about it!
For this week’s Wednesday, I am grateful for:
October’s Texas Trip
In the early part of October, my girls and I went on a trip to Texas. I drove down and back with a van full of girls (4). I am originally from Texas and I hadn’t been back there for about 10+ years. It was refreshing and exciting and exhausting at the same time. I was able to see family I hadn’t seen in years and my girls were able to meet family they’ve never met! Plus, the bonding between me and my girls during that trip was awesome!
For this week’s Thursday, I am grateful for:
Beautiful Sunrises & Sunsets
I see both every day on my drive to and from work. If I’m not working, I can enjoy both from my front deck. There is nothing more peaceful than the orangy-pinkish-red glow of the morning/evening sun. Okay, maybe there is, but still, waking up to a beautiful sunrise and relaxing to the magnificence of a sunset can fill the soul.
So, what are you grateful for today?
I can’t wait to read what everyone is grateful for! See you back here tomorrow!
