30 Days of Grateful

Today is Monday and as mentioned when 30 Days of Grateful started, you will get Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. However, due to the recent storm, we were closed on Thursday so that day is added to today as well!
For last week’s Thursday – Day 10, I was grateful for:
The Extra Day Off
Yes, probably a cliche, but the extra rest and time with the kiddos was a blessing. We enjoyed the day pretty much just being lazy. We watched tv and read and did some ‘homework’ which isn’t really homework. We snuggled and made silly Tiktok videos. It was a good day despite the crazy weather that was happening outside.
For last week’s Friday – Day 11, I was grateful:
For the Bobcat
We live in the country so we get snowed in during the big storms. My hubby was able to secure a Bobcat to dig us out. He spent the day pushing snow so we could get in and out of the driveway as well as up the hill to our animals. He dug paths around the corral so we could come and go to feed/water the goats and horses. It was an all day job. He pushed snow clear up until dark. While he was doing that, I played outside in the snow with my girls, took some photos and we made more silly Tiktok videos. Friday was a ‘day off’ for them without the storm as it was Veteran’s Day.
For Saturday – Day 12, I was grateful:
We were able to make the 60-mile drive to my parent’s house
I had asked them earlier in the week if they wanted to spend some time with our kiddos because my hubby and I had something we needed to do on Saturday that was going to be basically an all day thing. They agreed as they don’t get to see them much since school started. The storm put a damper on that plan as we were supposed to take them down Thursday night for a long weekend. However, the weather had other plans for us. I am grateful the storm was on Thursday and the roads were passable by Saturday so the kids got to see my parents if only for a day. We picked them up on Sunday.
For Sunday – Day 13, I was grateful for:
A Visit with my Brother- and Siter-in-Law
We live in the same area, but with the busyness of life, we don’t see them much. They came out to the house yesterday and visited for a short while. It was a good visit.
For Monday – Day 14, I am grateful for:
Dash Indicator Lights
This morning my car would not go over 10 miles an hour and I couldn’t figure out why. There was an indicator light on the dash that I hadn’t seen lit up before so I looked it up in the owner’s manual. It ended up being the ETC (electronic throttle control). I am not sure why it was on (I will tell the hubby. He’s not gonna like it, but I gotta tell him.) Anywho, the manual told me to stop, put in park, turn the car off, restart and the light would go off. I did as much and there you have it, it worked. I was able to get up to speed. However, something had to be wrong for the light to come on in the first place and I probably shouldn’t ignore it. So, thank you, dash indicator light!
What are you thankful for today?
Come on, start sending those responses! I can’t wait to hear what you are thankful for in this life!
See y’all back here tomorrow!
