30 Days of Grateful

So, it’s Monday, therefore today’s post includes Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (yesterday). To start, here’s Friday….

Last week’s Friday – Day 18, I was grateful for:

Quiet Time

Friday’s are typically my days off along with Saturday and Sunday. I am especially grateful for the Fridays’ though as I can get so much done because all the kids are in school and I have the house to MYSELF!

Last week’s Saturday – Day 19, I was grateful for:

Knoephla Soup & My Granddaughter

I love Knoephla soup and there’s a place about a mile down the road that serves (in my opinion) a very good Knoephla soup. I took my girlies out to breakfast and had a bowl of the Knoephla soup!

In the afternoon, we went to my granddaughter’s 4th birthday celebration. She doesn’t turn four until after Thanksgiving, but her party would only work for this past weekend. She’s such a spunky little girl and we love her to pieces.

Sunday – Day 20, I was grateful for:

My Husband’s Time

My hubby moved our little horses and goats down the hill to put them closer to the house. Our home is located on a stepped, leveled hillside — meaning each step is level, but there are three levels we contend with. The bottom level is the house, the middle level hill is where we keep some storage containers and the top of the hill is some pasture and where we have our camper. It’s too cold to stay in the camper so we are staying in the house with his folks. The hillsides get so full of snow that we can’t get hilltop access when the snow gets super bad. I am grateful he took the time to move the snow enough to get the horses and goats bottom hillside.

Today, Monday – Day 21, I am grateful for:

Sunshine & Hugs!

I’m from the south and sunshine is my absolute favorite! And when it’s chilly outside or when there’s a ton of snow, sunshine is SOOOO much better! Today the sun is shining brightly. I don’t get to be outside, but it’s shining gloriously right through the front windows of our shop.

When I was growing up, I kept my distance physically and emotionally from those I loved. As I’ve gotten older and going through the loss of my son, physical and emotional distance has subsided greatly. Now, I am probably the huggiest, most verbally emotional person you will ever meet. And I especially love the tight hugs of my teenage and adult sons as well as my husband. They give the best hugs! But let’s not forget, getting/giving hugs to my own parents feels pretty damn good, too!

It’s a Sunshine & Hugs kind of day!

What are you thankful for today?

Come on, start sending those responses! I can’t wait to hear what you are thankful for in this life!

See y’all back here tomorrow!
