Yellowjacket Update!

Hi Yall! Okay, crazy update on them pesky yellowjackets!

So, I went to farm store and bought two different sticky trap thingys for the darn yellowjackets. And my oh my do they work!

I would say, I’ve had three sticky traps in areas throughout my yard where the little buzzing things hangout. Each trap has suckered its’ fair share, but my favorite hangs right on my deck. I haven’t gotten all the yellowjackets, but those traps have caught plenty, for sure.

But even one buzzing around still makes me run and swat like a crazy girl. or at least, everyone would assume I was crazy if they saw me dancing around like a fool.

Oh and yeah, me staying calm as I was trying to do, stated in a previous post….well, that ship sailed. I get freaked out every single time one buzzes around me. But they chase me, too! I swear they do!

Anywho, here’s the little critters on that sticky I have on my deck, taken from 3 different angles. This thing has been my friend!

I have a couple in the area where I have been building a little storage shed. They aren’t quite as full, but they are filling up. I spend more time running away from that work area than I do actually working, though. At this rate, I don’t think I will ever finish the shed before snow flies! But I have too!

Ahh, soon enough I won’t have to worry about the buzzing, flying critters. Cooler weather is on its way and Mother Nature will soon rid them from the area. Its’ a blessing, but a curse. I hate cooler weather, but I don’t like the yellowjackets!

Hmm, such is life……
