Daily Dose #55

2023 Monthly Reading Goal

Well, it’s new year. As Daily Dose #49 mentioned, I want to try setting some goals this year. This, in and of itself, will be a feat as goal-setting has never been on my top-10 list. As I’m just as scatterbrained and flighty as I am grounded and thoughtful. Trust me, it’s a thing! We will see how it goes! Just as a reminder, my reading list for the 2023 year is quite lengthy and I keep adding to it! But here it is:

  • Sold on a Monday
  • Outlander series (8 books)
  • The Lincoln Highway
  • Violetta
  • Crossing to Safety
  • Shadows of Berlin
  • Take My Hand
  • A Year to the Day
  • Each Night Was Illuminated
  • Thirteen Doorways, Wolves Behind Them All
  • Morna’s Legacy series (17 books)
  • The Ocean at the End of the Lane (just added)
  • The Memoirs of Stockholm Sven (just added)
  • Unvanquished: How Women of the South Survived the Civil War (just added)
  • Old Plantation Days (just added)
  • The War-Time Journal of a Georgia Girl, 1964-1865 (just added)
  • Whispering Pines (Celia’s Gifts) (just added)
  • At the Water’s Edge (just added)
  • Love Finds You BOM Club (12 books beginning Oct 2022)

Just for good measure, I am including some how-to and history books that probably will not be read from start to finish, but more as I’m interested in glancing through this at the moment:

  • Master the World of Edible Wild Plants
  • Forgotten Mountain Wisdom and Basic Survival Skills
  • Goat Books
  • Survival Books
  • Miniature Horse Books
  • Apiary Books

Each day, week, or month I will update my reading accomplishment through the 2023 year. Some books may take longer (depending on interest level), some less. Let’s see how full I can get this calendar year. Guess what?!? I’ve already completed one book on my list! FYI, these books are not listed in any particular order, but will be read in phases of my moods (yes, I am a mood reader!)

Follow along on my reading journey. Offer advice, more ‘need-to-read’ books for me to add, your own reading accomplishments, to ask a question or two about my current book or just to generally encourage my reading habits! 🙂
